I'm Heidi & this is my blog
Just like you, I am trying to find that elusive creative gene...
this is where I am at.
Louise Snook at the Craft & Fair...
What's red, white & yellow?
My attempt at screen printing,
Can you believe it?!
After posting up my Flickr Fest Best (last Friday) on lino printing,
the first stall to capture my eye at the
Craft & Quilt (Sydney) was
she's is all about printing (screen & lino)
You can't ignore signs like that, so I booked into
An hour & half later
I walked away with a new tea towel
designed & printed by my
own fair hands.
(& Louise's guidance - Thank you!)
Will I be having another go at printing?
(I bought some goodies so I have no excuses)

What's red, yellow & brown?
Neither do I really but...
After messing about a little with
I think I am going to make a cozy blanket for myself.
No not made up of hundreds of hearts,
I haven't the attention span for that.
I plan on sewing my hearts onto a blanket,
once I have crocheted it.
I have only made 3 squares of my blanket so far
(using crossed double crochet stitches)
but I think I can do this
before the end of winter.
I will have a new blanket before the end of winter!

Flickr Fest Best is going back to school...
Okay, so I am not actually going back to school, but I thought we should look at
wonderful art of Lino Printing.
You remember, those weird little blocks
that your art teacher encouraged you all to express yourselves on,
but promptly removed when he realised his new budding artists/thugs were
carving into everything but the blocks?
No? It must just have been my class then.
Anyway, some people are actually good at Lino printing.
Check this lot out.
